A founding member of AASWG, John Ramey is General Secretary Emeritus, Editor Emeritus of the Social Work with Groups Newsletter, and Emeritus Associate Professor, University of Akron School of Social Work.  Former Executive Director of Cincinnati Federation of Settlements and Neighborhood Centers and of Hyde Park Neighborhood Club in Chicago, Ramey has had a long career in settlement, camp, and community organizations throughout the country and continues to be an active leader in a wide variety of local, state, and national organizations. With a Bachelor of Music in organ performance from Ohio State University, Carol Ramey worked for many years alongside her husband, John, until his retirement, handling the tasks of AASWG membership and many related organizational tasks. To round out this family affair, the Rameys’ daughter, Susan Bisgyer, did the desktop publication work for SWwG Newsletter for many years.
