Using Countertransference to Inform Group Practitioner Interventions

Ronnie Glassman, DSW, LCSW

 

Ronnie Glassman, DSW, LCSW, is Director of Field Education at Wurzweiler School of Social Work, Yeshiva University. She is a co-founder of the NY Red Apple Chapter. The second edition of her book, Group Work: A Humanistic and Skills Building Approach, is scheduled to be published in August.  She is the author of many articles on group work and field education, and presents on these topics at national and international conferences.  Dr. Glassman’s role in field work includes developing and co-chairing the Field Symposium at CSWE, and the North American Network of Field Educators and Directors.  She sits on the CSWE Commission on Curriculum and Educational Innovation and is involved in promoting the centrality of field education in the curriculum, most recently through her paper, “Field Education as the Signature Pedagogy of Social Work.” Her private practice is with individuals, families, and groups.
