  Professor Maeda J.Galinsky, PhD

 Professor Galinsky is a Kenan Distinguished Professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she has taught social work group practice for 40 years. She has published in the area of group work theory, practice, and research, including articles on support groups, open-ended groups, and evaluations of innovative interventions. Her recent publications focus on technology based groups, the use of the risk and resilience framework as a foundation for social work practice, and the design and development of a structured intervention geared to the prevention and reduction of aggressive behavior in children.
